What Are The Main Uses Of Al Manaratain Artificial Stone?
Al Manaratain artificial stone is accepted as an economic and environmental alternative to natural stone. Cost-effective and low maintenance, it is also an incredibly versatile concrete product. Made from precast concrete, artificial stone can take on nearly any shape or size, be manufactured in virtually any colour and be finished in a variety of ways to suit individual project requirements. With this versatility in mind, it’s probably not surprising to hear that artificial stone is used in a whole range of different construction projects. Let’s take a look at just a few of its major applications…
Artificial Stone Edging
Artificial stone edging is easy to assemble but has the look of natural stones set on edge and mortared into place. The corner piece is ready-made and each section contains nine ‘stones’ making the edging easy to put into place. The stone can be sunk into a shallow trough in the soil or laid directly onto a level surface. As a result, it is perfectly suited to the following uses:
Chamfered Brick Edging: The wedge shape of chamfered brick edging allows you to choose between a sloping or straight face. Split blocks can be used for detailing whilst inside and outside corner pieces make the edging versatile to apply. Adding another dimension of visual interest, chamfered brick edging is perfect for paths, borders, lawns or decorative margins for ornamental pools.
Brick Edging: Simple to lay, light to handle and easily cut to size, brick edging is perfect for a range of applications, particularly in home gardens. It is the perfect edging for flower beds, paths and driveways.
Tiles On Edge: In order to allow greater design flexibility, our artificial stone tiles are available in curved and straight options, with matching corner units available.
Rope-Top Edging: What’s great about artificial stone is that it is perfect for use in both modern and traditional designs. Rope- top edging is particularly well suited for complementing traditional settings and is available straight or curved and with matching corner units.
Artificial Stone Walling
Artificial stone walling blocks are attractive on both sides meaning you can easily build a double-sided wall with a single block. These will create a final appearance that looks similar to that of a natural wall. At Al Manaratain we also have artificial stone ‘wall tiles’ that can be stuck on top of standard masonry block walls for decorative purposes. The tiles come in different shapes and sizes and can be laid in various patterns. Let’s take a closer look at the main uses of our artificial stone for walling purposes.
Wall Tiles: As we just mentioned, artificial stone tiles are available in various sizes and can be laid in coursed or randomly. Coursed tiles are single, course height and random tiles can be laid in various ways to offer a more rugged stone look.
Hadrian Wall: Perfectly suited to concealed mortar for a dry-stone look or fully pointed, artificial stone creates attractive hadrian walling. A double-sided wall can be made from a single block and matching copying is available to provide the best finishing touches.
Cots Wall: Cots walling complements a range of settings demonstrating its versatility. Available in a choice of colours and sizes, Cots walling from Al Manaratain is suitable for building features such as raised beds and planters. A Cots wall block has the composite appearance of containing eight single smaller blocks allowing it to be applied quickly and easily to a range of attractive garden features.
Madoc Wall: Madoc walling is used to create the authentic appearance of dry laid, natural slate. This is achieved by reproducing the profiles of a number of stones in a single, easy to handle “Z” shape Madoc block. Capturing the beautiful qualities of slate, Madoc walling is easy to apply whilst creating the outstanding look of a natural wall.
